What are dermal fillers? Dermal fillers are collagen or synthetically made materials used for injection into the dermis to augment and volumise the soft tissues. They are classified on the duration of action or by their composition. For aesthetics, we use products that contain Hyaluronic acid (HA). Due to their predictable results, excellent biocompatibility, and easy reversibility, HA fillers are considered the safest and most reliable dermal fillers in the British cosmetic industry.  What areas can be treated? Generally, any area of the face that has lost volume over time or requires enhancement can be treated. Most common areas include: Cheeks Lips Naso-labial folds Tear troughs Chin Jowls  How long until the results show? The results are instantaneous, and there could be up to a 25% reduction in size in certain areas, such as the lips, once the swelling settles.  How long do the results last? This depends on which areas are treated and what products are used. Lip augmentations last on average six months, whereas cheek enhancements can last up to 24 months.  Side effects The common side effects include bruising and swelling, which generally resolves within a couple of days with good post-operative care. Bookings for this treatment are for consultation, with the potential of having treatment the same day if suitable.
